Sales Tax
We are obligated by Florida state law to charge 6% sales tax on items delivered to a Florida address. Deliveries to all other areas are tax-exempt.

Shipping and Handling
We only ship to the 48 US contiguous states. Most items will be shipped standard UPS ground. Oversize and common carrier truck shipments will incur an additional shipping charge. Shipping charges incurred due to incorrect address, zip code, or the refusal of an item will be charged back to the customer. We cannot ship to PO Box locations.

Replace a Defective Item
We work very hard to insure we only ship to you merchandise that is constructed and packaged to the highest quality industry standards. All items are first run brand names shipped factory packed. However, in rare cases there may be damage during transit or a manufacturing defect so please inspect all items upon receipt. In the event there is a damage, please contact us at sales@lightingfirst.us within 10 days of receipt of your order. Provide us with your name, date of receipt and order number. If the merchandise has been visibly damaged in transit please note the damage when signing for the receipt of the product or report the damage to the carrier with-in 24 hours of receipt.

Return an Item
Returns of in-stock items are accepted within 30 days of Purchase. Returns of non-stock items within 30 days will be charged a 50% restocking fee. We will not accept returns of items that have been installed, altered, used in any way, or not in original condition. Some items are final sale items and returns will not be accepted. These items include glass replacements, parts, custom orders, and any sales item marked as "Final Sale". All items must be shipped back pre-paid.

Cancellations and Changes
We understand the need for cancellations and changes to your order. Please contact us at sales@lightingfirst.us . We will handle these with the same speed and efficiency as we handled your original order. Please understand that once your order has been shipped or is in the process of shipping from one of our suppliers it cannot be cancelled. Please do not refuse delivery of the item. In order for us to process your return properly please follow the procedures to return an item.

Delivery Information
We ship brand name lighting and ceiling fans from multiple distribution centers. Orders for multiple items placed at the same time might arrive at different times. We ship all orders as quickly and efficiently as possible. Items we have in-stock typically ship within 1-2 business days. Non-stock items typically ship within 2-4 weeks. In-Stock Items
We constantly update our website to show which items are typically in-stock and available for immediate shipment. Be advised that certain items marked as "In-Stock" may at times be sold out or backordered from the factory and will result in shipping delays.
